I’ve never been told

to go fly a kite

I have been told

to go play

on the freeway

I’d prefer

a kite

like fishing

for god

try to reel

him

in

show him off

stuffed

lacquered on the wall

I once caught a god

(      this big!      )

but he got away

the line broke

while I was dodging

traffic

Van Allen Belt

planets sing

to each other

Earth

sings

Humpback whale song

water music

the sound

of fire wind

redirected

around

water magnet

is it any wonder

for humans

who think ourselves planets

that music

is in our blood?
