CircleShow Submission Deadlines:
CircleShow Vol. 4, Summer 2010 will be published by October 10th 2010.
Note: To give the press ample time to work on backlogged projects (such as the publication of CircleShow Vol. 4 and the winner of the 2010 chapbook contest) CirlceShow will be closed to submissions from July 2nd 2010 to Sept 30th 2010.
Please check back in October for new issue deadlines.
CircleShow: The Official Journal of Seven CirclePress is currently interested in publishing both known and unknown poets. Issues of CircleShow are posted online in PDF format for all to read, and made available in print editions via our webstore.
All work is also posted in the journal's alphabetical contributors list, which makes it easier for our readers to directly find the work of their favorite authors.
We accept all forms of poetry as long as the poems are compelling and imbued with a rich sense of rhythm and language.
To submit, paste 1-3 poems into the body of an email. Please submit all text single spaced in a common legible font ( Ex. Times New Roman, Arial) except where necessary to the composition.
Include a short bio (in the 3rd person) along with your poems. Bios will be printed with your work if accepted.
In the subject heading to the email write your name followed by “Submissions To CircleShow".
We will not accept any attachments.
Response time is three months or less, issues are published roughly around Jan/Feb and Aug/Sept of each year.
Work is published online in the contributors list on a rolling basis, and will appear within 30 days after acceptance.
Please submit only once per reading period.
If your work is accepted please allow a 1 issue hiatus before submitting again.
Simultaneous submissions are considered, but SCP must be notified immediately of acceptance elsewhere.
SCP does not accept previously published work.
If we accept your work we acquire only the rights to print your work once on our site as part of the contributors list, as well as in the upcoming issue of CircleShow which includes both EBook and hard copy format.
Authors keep all other rights and will, upon acceptance, be given the choice of displaying their work under either a standard copyright or a creative commons attribution non-commercial license.
By submittting to SCP you are agreeing to our Copyright Policy.
SCP will announce Pushcart nominations in either September, October or November.
Due to the fact that this is a micro-sized, primarily one man run operation, we are offering no monetary payment to our authors but will supply them with a complimentary print edition of the issue of CircleShow in which their work appears.
