Sometimes the musician

plays his song and sometimes

his instrument sings for

the tree from which it comes.

These Trees

Trees in the wind

speak of something,

I don't know what.

I don't speak their

language. I don't

know what the wind

has pushed them to.

What Is This Singing

What is this singing

all the night? It sounds

like monks chanting.

A moon paints the sky.

A cool breeze moves this

darkness. Others

will understand what

it means; I cannot --

I'm a chaser

of stars, a friend of

silence, the ghost of

sadness. I know

the sun will rise and

how little will come

of it again.
